OVERVIEW

  • Description

    Founded in 1944 by Cyril Cusack (1910-1993) whilst he was manager of the Gaiety Theatre. The company produced a number of classic plays by Shakespeare, Shaw and Synge in addition to new work including Cusack adaptation of Kafka's The Trial (The Temptation of Mr. O) and the premiere of O'Casey's The Bishop's Bonfire in 1955.
