SEÁN MCCARTHY

Seán McCarthy was born in Cork. He joined the Abbey Theatre as an actor in 1964. In the 1970s, he was Literary Manager to the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh and Artistic Director to The Young Lyceum. In 1979 he returned to Ireland and became script editor at The Abbey Theatre. He is the author of a number of stage, radio and television plays.
