Kevin Barry

Kevin Barry is the author of the novels "Beatlebone" and "City of Bohane" and the story collections "Dark Lies the Island" and "There Are Little Kingdoms". He has won the IMPAC Dublin City Award, the Goldsmiths Prize, the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Prize, the European Union Prize for Literature and many other awards. His stories have appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, the Stinging Fly and other journals. His work has been translated to 16 languages. His radio plays and monologues have been broadcast on RTÉ and BBC. Adaptations of his stories have been staged in Ireland and US. He also writes screenplays and essays, and he is co-editor of the journal "Winter Papers". He lives in County Sligo.
