A samba musical based on The Government Inspector by Nikolai Gogol.
In Gogol's play, the dispossessed are shopkeepers, in Adios Amigos they are Nori Indians. In both cases, the statement is the same - a centralised political system, hijacked by a particular section of society, inevitably becomes corrupt and inefficient and dehumanises the luckless majority.
Cast doubling is possible. See original production for details.
