Brian Campbell Laurence McKeown
In a small village in the North of Ireland in 1981, Mary and George try to come to terms with their son Peadar's decision to volunteer for the hunger strike. The local school teacher decides to take a lead role in organising a local campaign. Two old school friends of Peadar, now at Queen's University, must try to come to terms with where they stand. Myles, the GAA coach, wants to keep his head down and ignore the situation and Father Boyle, the local priest, struggles to control his parishioners.
