Deirdre Kinahan
A Meath County Council Arts Office commission in commemoration of the 1916 Rising.
Wild Sky reveals the interlocking lives of Josie Dunne and Tom Farrell. Josie who became politicised after a meeting with those unmanagables, Inghinidhe na hÉireann and Tom who meandered into history because he was deeply in love with Josie, only no one told Josie. Her political drive was his inspiration, he was secretly hoping that 1916 would somehow act as a catalyst for a more permanent and intimate bond between them. Things are never as they seem, the catalyst was far bigger than either of them imagined. As the Rising plays out, there is a crisscrossing of the cost in human terms and in private terms.
