Forest Man

OVERVIEW

  • Playwright

    Michael West

  • Notes

    A play 11-13 year olds.

  • Synopsis

Sly and Snout are two thieves on the run, whose only interest in life up to now has been looking after number one. They’re hiding out in the middle of a forest when they stumble across ‘Jasper’, a primitive individual who appears to need looking after. With the help of the mysterious Taylor, Sly and Snout undertake to ‘teach’ Jasper all that they know…or at least as much as they think he needs to know in the circumstances. Their educational experiment brings them within reach of a treasure beyond their wildest dreams, but also forces them to ask themselves fundamental questions about who they really are. And how you stop somebody from learning too much.
