    Tom Murphy (1)

  • Setting

Set in a house in Kent in 1969.

Kate lives with Dan, a defected priest, in the family home she inherited. With them lives Mr. Kyne, Dan's father, who refuses to return to Ireland because of the disgrace his son has brought on the family. Kate's brother, Roddie and his pregnant wife Moggie - a woman who has lived it up in true swinging sixties style - have come to stay. Into this mix of complex, cofused and solitary people add Beryl, the housekeeper, with her own old complications.
