  • Synopsis

    A miracle play about a parish priest who wants to spend money on erecting a statue to "The Lady of the Famine" for her protection. Others want a more practical solution to their plight. A stranger arrives and offers to buy the statue for £300 and the priest realises that it is the devil. Just then a child runs in to say that a lady, identical to the lady of the statue, is outside giving bread to the poor.
