Eoghan Ó Tuairisc
Ar bord loinge ar a bealach ó Birkenhead go Baile Átha Cliath aimsir an Ghorta (1847)
Daniel O'Connell's body is being brought home to Ireland from Birkenhead on board a ship. The ship rescues three people from a small boat, an old man, an old woman and a baby. They had been travelling to Birkenhead on board a cattle boat which sank. The baby is named Daniel after 'The Liberator', the great Daniel O'Connell. The old people talk about their hope that 'The Liberator' will soon return to Ireland and save them all from The Famine.
