    A melodrama set in a Donegal Gaeltacht family. The hard, righteous, insensitive father, the long-suffering mother, the orthodox and the unorthodox son. Liam, the roving son, returns to find his staid brother engaged to the girl he loves and who still loves him, sacrifices himself for the good brother’s sake and dies tragically.
