• Synopsis

  The house of Bernarda Alba is a house of repression. The only joy which exists in the lives of the daughters is the unseen presence of Pepe El Romana. Pepe is engaged to the eldest daughter, but only for her money's sake. He is loved by two of the other daughters and is having a secret affair with the young and beautiful Adela. When Adela finally overcomes her fear of her mother, tragedy ensues.
