Douglas Hyde (Dubhghlas de hÍde)
Áit: Teach beag feirme
Rinne Lady Gregory aistriúchán Béarla ar an ndráma seo faoin teideal 'The School Master'. Tá difríochtaí suntasacha le feiceáil idir an dhá leagan; cuireann Lady Gregory deireadh difriúil ar fad lena leagan féin, mar shampla.
A bilingual piece about a bureaucratic schoolteacher who tries to promote the spread of English in the parish by banning his pupils from speaking in their own native Irish. His mission is foiled, however, when the new heir to local estate transpires to be an educated young noblewoman with fluent Irish.
