Synopsis
A short playlet about Conall, a little boy who find school very difficult. When Conall fails yet again to remember the words of a holy poem, he is punished by the teacher and left alone in the schoolroom when the other children go outside to play. Conall is very upset, but is comforted by Cormaicín, a withered old pauper who does chores in the school from time to time. When the child falls asleep, Cormaicín says a prayer on his behalf. The other children return, Conall wakes up and, wonder of wonders, manages to recite the poem from start to finsish. The teacher realises that a miracle has taken place and that Cormaicín is, in fact, none other than Aonghus Céile Dé, a mysterious saint who had vanished from the public eye many years previously.
