• Programming Policy

  Established in 2004, the Festival of Fools is a four day international street theatre festival featuring more than 100 shows and various walkabout characters and is the largest free festival in Northern Ireland. This dynamic and vibrant festival engages audiences through humour and surreal encounters. It transforms the streets and public spaces of Belfast into performance venues to be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Festival of Fools also programmes a summer season of street theatre shows called Sunday Treats. Programming is by invite only but street theatre companies are welcome to submit information to the above email.
