MORNA REGAN

Morna Regan is from Derry City, Northern Ireland. She studied in London, and won a Fulbright Scholarship to the USA where she took a Masters in Theatre at the University of Southern California. As an actor, she has worked at major theatres in Ireland, England and America. As a writer, her short film, The Case of Majella McGinty, won awards at film festivals in Cork, Derry, San Francisco, Cologne and Houston. She was awarded an Edinburgh Fringe First Award, Stewart Parker Radio Play Award, the Jayne Snow Award and the Heidelberg European Author's Award for her play Midden in 2001. In 2013, The House Keeper won the Best Play Award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards. Morna was dramaturg for Caroline Byrne's productions of The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare's Globe in 2016, and Katie Roche at the Abbey Theatre in 2017.
