Lisa Tierney-Keogh

Lisa was born in Dublin. She lived in New York for ten years until 2018. Lisa is Associate Playwright at the Abbey Theatre, Ireland’s National Theatre. Lisa’s plays have been performed in Ireland, the US, and Mexico. She won Best New Play at the 2019 Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards for This Beautiful Village, produced by and staged at the Abbey Theatre. She has been nominated for the Stewart Parker Trust Award, the BBC Tony Doyle Television Award, and Dublin Fringe Festival Awards. Lisa was a core member of #WakingTheFeminists, a grassroots movement that campaigned for gender equality in the arts in Ireland. She has written for radio and print media (The Irish Times, Image Magazine, Independent Newspapers). Lisa’s plays are published by Oberon Books and she is represented by Independent Talent in London.
