LINDSAY JANE SEDGWICK

Lindsay Jane Sedgwick is a screenwriter and playwright based in Dublin. Her plays have been staged at the Focus Theatre, Smock Alley Theatre, International Bar, Theatre Upstairs, the Waterside (Derry), Cork Arts Theatre and aired on BBC Radio 4. TV and film credits include the creation of the ground-breaking animated TV series, Punky, as well as Scratch Saturday, Fair City, Wildernuts (RTÉ), Kristina (Best Feature award, Swansea on Sea) and four short films. A screenwriting tutor since 1995, Lindsay also works as a script consultant/ narrative designer for a range of independent companies. She has an MA in Screenwriting from Leeds Metropolitan University (1999), is a graduate of Moonstone (2002) and was a New York University ‘Gregory Peck Scriptwriting Course’ scholar (1993). In 2012, Lindsay founded the Creatives in Animation Network (CAN) to facilitate collaboration between writers and animators.
