LUCY CALDWELL

1981 -

Lucy Caldwell, born in Belfast, is a playwright and a novelist. She is the author of numerous radio dramas, three novels and a collection of short stories. Awards include the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, the Dylan Thomas Prize, the George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright, the Susan Smith Blackburn Award, the Imison Award, as Fiction Uncovered Award and a Major Individual Artist Awards from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. She was shortlisted for the 2012 BBC International Short Story Award and won the Commonwealth Witers' Award (Canada and Europe) in 2014.
