He also wrote under the pseudonym 'Brian Ó Riain' when writing in the early 1950s. His best known play is An Beo do Bhí which was premiered at An Damer in 1956. He reworked this play and it was premiered in the Damer as Dlí na Feirme in 1965. His play Ordóg an Bháis won the Abbey prize and was premiered there in 1943.
