  • Synopsis

    Three characters, trapped in hells of their own making, come together for an evening in. Kate is suffering the change of life fears that she is going mad, loves her husband desparately and is convinced that he and the world see her as a neurotic failure. Steve has opted out of the rat-race and has lost the confidence to live outwards. Their marriage has turned into a duel where lasting damage can be inflicted at any moment. Maurice, their friend, has outstripped Steve in the material world, is a confirmed bachelor, although Steve sees him as a prissy old maid. The knives are out and sharpened in this evening in.
