Contemporary Ireland (2010)
Teresa Mulqueen lies dying in her home on Limerick’s Ennis Road. Her daughter Annie anxiously awaits the arrival of her sister Marie Rose and brother-in-law Vincent. Marie Rose knows that her marriage is crumbling and innocently turns to her beloved sister for comfort unaware of Annie and Vincent’s secret affair. Their charming and manipulative brother Ritchie watches the drama between his sisters unfold, desperately awaiting an opportunity to control the family home. Inspired by Kate O'Brien's 1934 novel 'The Ante-Room'.
