A small island off Ireland
An tiny, superstitious community that sustains itself by trading poitin is aging rapidly, with only two young people left among them, Bridgeen and Meehawl. The future of the island race depends on them, but Meehawl is killed by a hand grenade, and celebrated as a martyr by those left behind.
