The play is set in Mary's mind between 1883 and 1935
Irish emigrant Mary Mallon earned a reputation as a fine cook before being accused of poisoning her wealthy New York employers. Branded as the most dangerous woman in America, she was locked up for 28 years. The monotony broken only by her sumptuous plans for supper, she concocts her own version, the real story.
