An adaptation by Sam Hanna Bell of his novel December Bride (1951). Sarah Gomartin and her mother come to work for the Echlin family, comprising a father and two brothers on a farm at Rathard. Crisis arises when Andrew, the father, dies, and Sarah continues to live with the two brothers, with an increasingly complex relationship developing between them.
