A farm on the Tipperary/Limerick border
The play explores mother-daughter relationships in the context of the struggle of life on the land and follows the lives of three generations of women on a farm on the Tipperary/Limerick border. The story spans the 20th century; from the poverty and emigration of the 30s and 40s through the sweeping changes in the 50s and 60s finishing up at the close of the century when the women find the courage to resolve the age-old conflicts and make peace with themselves.
