The Red Sandals was originally presented at the Central Mental Institution in Dundrum in April, 2001. The piece was subsequently produced (as listed) as a double bill with 'Stone Ghosts' by Sue Mythen (listed separately) as part of 'Womanly Whims', a season of new plays by female Irish writers presented by Tall Tales Theatre Company.
Eily, a young girl, befriends her neighbour Mr Smith and discovers he has a secret that his overbearing, cabbage-addicted wife does not countenance.
