Too Much Too Young

OVERVIEW

  • Playwright

    Anto Nolan

  • Synopsis

Three men in their late twenties fulfil a fifteen-year-old pledge and reunite on the anniversary of the first Madness concert ever staged in Ireland, which took place in The Olympic Ballroom in Dublin. This concert was a milestone in Irish rock history as it sparked off a passionate cult following in this country for Ska and the Two-tone culture, in particular among the young Irish working class. These three men are part of that world but they are now driven apart by emigration, social pressures and time. They meet to celebrate, to rekindle the spirit of that first Ska experience and heal a few wounds in the process.
