Martin Lynch
Belfast's deep-water dockland in the early sixties.
An idealistic young trade unionist attempts to reform the system by radical politics. He meets with opposition from reactionary elements within the union, and from older workers resentful of innovation in traditional methods. He is called a Communist and an agitator by union colleagues, and pays a high price for his adventurism.
