The reception lounge of a hotel in Belfast.
In the foyer of a Belfast hotel, with bombs exploding outside, an exchange of opinions takes place between a Protestant barman, a Catholic head waiter, an American psychologist, a British army officer and an atheist pop star, who is shot dead by gunmen from the IRA and the UVF because of his lack of allegiance to either side.
