The isolation ward of St. Malachi's Psychiatric Hospital in the late 1950's.
Inside a psychiatric hospital in the West of Ireland, we meet Patrick Conway, a patient in the isolation unit for over 20 years. Why has he been locked away and denied visitors for so many years? Is he a danger to society? What is his obsession with gold? Was the gift of second sight too much for 1950's Ireland too handle? A play about goldfish, electro convulsive shock therapy, psychiatry, solitaire and injustice, this is the story of one man's struggle not to forget the truth of who he really is.
