Melonfarmer

OVERVIEW

  • Playwright

    Alex Johnston

  • Synopsis

Mixing pop culture know-how with a bit of existential soul searching, Melonfarmer is set on the mean streets of Dublin and is an examination of a lost generation of Irish who never quite got lost. Melonfarmer is the world as seen through the eyes of twenty-something Sean, on the fast track down into the depths of his angst-filled, fantasy-fuelled mind. On the way, he quotes Joseph Beuys, "Everything must be changed." By the end, just about everything is.
