    Michael Harding

  • Setting

The play is set in 1998.

  • Synopsis

Amazing Grace tells the story of a group of Northern Irish women, both Catholic and Protestant, who come together to organise an ecumenical choir to perform at weddings in both churches. Daphne is a Methodist and plays the tambourine; Sheila belongs to a group that sings 'The Patriot Game' and 'The Boys of the Old Brigade' at funerals. Enter Eddie, a republican, and Tim, a detective from the RUC, both of whom are also roped into the project. When Eddie takes a beating and is visited in hospital by Tim, questions need to be answered all round.
