Damian Gorman
Loved ones tells the story of two women: Bronwen Donnelly and Kathleen McCrossan. Bronwen and Tommy Donnelly's nineteen-year-old son Mark was killed by a bomb under the family car in February 1988. It was a tragic mistake. The intended target owned a similar vehicle but lived not in Lagan Crescent but in Lagan Court. An 'unreserved' apology was forwarded to the Donnelly family. A year and a half later, Neill McCrossan, the son of Kathleen and Richard McCrossan, had a plea of manslaughter rejected, and was convicted of Donnelly's murder. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
