Derrygowan House, Larkwood Villas and Shankill Road, Belfast, between 1936 and 1938.
A play about the rise and fall of the McFall family. When Mrs McFall inherits a legacy, the family moves from Sardinia Street on the Shankill Road to Derrygowan House and the the garden-party set, much to the misery of Mr. McFall, who misses his old surroundings. Bit by bit, however, the legacy is lost, and the family descends back down the prosperity ladder until finally they find themselves back where they began.
