Patrick Riddell
The drawing room of Mallon House, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland in the present day.
When Sir Miles Mallon discovers he is dying, he sets about putting the affairs of his sons in order. These include Michael, a disappointed playwright, and George, a bacteriologist whose career ends when he accidentally blinds himself. As their father progresses in his task, debates rage on issues from politics to religion, and the Irish theatre.
