Hebe Elsna
The living room of the Barlow's country cottage, somewhere in Northern Ireland.
Married couple Paul and Lucy Barlow are collaborators in writing novels, and when they complete their 77th, decide they will celebrate by spending a quiet Christmas together avoiding the trappings of the season. Their family has other ideas, however, and one by one they return from abroad not only with the Christmas trimmings, but also a host of personal problems to be resolved. Over the course of the season, all struggle to do so, and by the play's end, the family is at last contented.
