A small farmhouse in the west of Ireland.
Curly is twenty-five, stuck living at home on the farm with his parents. He yearns to move on, get married to sweetheart Eileen and find a life of his own, but father Tom is stubborn in the face of change. When Curly's older brother Eddie comes home from America on holidays, he can start to see a range of alternative futures in front of him. But which one to choose, and why?
