  • Synopsis

A farce in which Peter Rooney, the skipper of a fishing boat, sinks a German submarine and very much enjoys his new hero status in the local village. Bragging about his deed, he hides the fact that he actually rammed the submarine only accidentally, and had feared he had destroyed a British craft. Willie Burns, his daughter's lover, discovers the truth, and threatens to expose Rooney unless he consents to Burns marrying his daughter...
