    When Deputy Quinn dies his seat in government becomes free. During his time in office he was known for his trickery and dishonesty. In an effort to hold on to the seat in the upcoming by-election, Sean Barry, an ambitious parliamentary secretary, convinces the good natured daughter of the deceased TD to stand for election and fight against political dishonesty.
