  • Synopsis

    Mairteen Deignan, an old-fashioned and domineering farmer from County Mayo, is a man out of sympathy with the modern mores of his family. He has a hard enough time getting around the fact that his daughter is a television star when a seductive Englishwoman, Joyce Murdoch, arrives to stay with the family while gathering folklore from the locale, adding intrigue to his life.
