  • Synopsis

A play set in Australia, where Barty Munn is rumoured to have inherited a large sum on his brother's death. He and and his 'cobbers'(friends) look forward to a good life, but his sister-in-law tries to ensure that the money is well-spent. A farm is eventually bought with the money, and Munn then marries Martha Tilly. When she is injured in a minor accident, Munn's easygoing attitude changes. He finds that husband and wife, like cobbers, share what they have, and that this extends even as far as work duties.
