Eoin Neeson Colm Mac Neill
Michael Murray, physicist and one time communist, is tired of fruitless party policies and wants to settle down in the USA with his fiancée Anne Conroy. To get his visa he needs an affidavit to clear him of his politically suspect actions. Murray needs the help of O'Loughlin, a senior member of the communist party and also a senior civil servant in the Department of Foreign Affairs. Blackmail is threatened. Does he endanger the party by betrayal or sacrifice his honour?
