The Priest's house in the small town of Marlfield, in Northern Ireland, a little while after the last war.
Father Malan is a Catholic priest who returns from Glasgow to the small town of Marlfield, where he is greeted by parishioners and non-parishioners alike wanting to give and receive comfort, advice, and tittle-tattle. Despite the challenges this presents, Father Malan successfully navigates his way through sometimes tricky situations using a combination of common sense and thoughtful philosophy.
