Donagh MacDonagh
The little village of Knockaderry. The present.
A verse comedy about 'God's Gentry', people who travel about the countryside and live a carefree life of celebration. Taking over the country for a year's carousal, they select the ancient God Balor to become their President, and he comes out of 1500 years' rest to preside over the good times. When stocks of food and drink run low, however, Balor is rejected, and the old order is eventually restored.
