John B. Keane
Set on a roadside on a June Evening.
Produced as a part of 'Values' a triple bill of Keane one-acts including 'The Spraying of John O'Dorey' and 'Backwater'.
Looking at the fifth and sixth commandments and highlighting their importance in the hierarchy of religious interpretation, Keane puts the moral hypocrisy - which places adultery far higher up the ladder of iniquity than cold-blooded murder - at the centre of this farce.
