The action takes place in a middle-class sitting room, present day(1967).
Produced as part of the O.Z. Whitehead prize winning season alongside Michael Judge's 'Please Break the Glass Gently'.
Set in a middle class household when the duaghter returns home with her new husband after a courtship of only six weeks. It's not long before we discover that she is mentally deranged and the new husband is put in the position where he has to sign his new bride in to a mental asylum. The mother is pleased that, in the eyes of her neighbours, at least she is not responsible for the institutionalisation of her daughter.
