A meditation on the ills of contemporary Dublin society centring on Alan who's the manager of a swanky bar called Arcadia. His girlfriend is an insufferable consumerist who may be cheating on him with his boss, his sister has been sacked from her teaching job for assaulting a student and her boyfriend is a grandstanding bar-room poet.
