  • Synopsis

    James Clinton, a schoolteacher, has been dismissed for neglecting his duties. Along with his son, he's at the forefront of anti-conscription agitation in the village. The school manager, Father Cunningham, is firmly of the opposite outlook, while the slimey publican Branagan will take whichever side that's to his financial advantage.
