Frank J. Hugh O'Donnell
The action of the play takes place in London in the aftermath of the First World War.
Finding himself with plenty of free time on his hands, blind war veteran ponders the spiritual health of the nation. He concludes that post-war society has turned its back on the tenets of Christianity and so sets out on a doomed crusade to bring Christ back into people's everyday lives.
